FAQs

How long does a performance last?
One-hour

What age are performances suitable for?
Children aged 3 - 7

Do parents stay?
Yes. You will have a space in the grown-ups’ section of the audience from where to enjoy the show. Your child will be sitting on the floor in the children’s section, but you can come and join them to offer encouragement or support if you feel they need it.

How do I book for more than one child?
Please fill in the booking form and pay for one child initially. In the section, ‘Ask a question', please let us know how many additional children you would like to attend. Your teacher will then email you with a link to pay for the additional child(ren), a payment link which will include a sibling discount.

How is an Interactive Performance different to a ‘normal’ show?
We don’t use props, and we don’t dress up – we don’t need to! One very talented performer will use the power of the imagination to create fascinating characters and magical lands for children to explore.

Can I bring my baby with me, or an older child?
Interactive Performances are very physical, and children need to have enough space in which to enjoy them; children run around, jump, dance, and are actively encouraged to get involved from the beginning. For this reason, we limit the number of tickets available. If you have a child under three, or over seven we would not expect you to buy a ticket for them but would ask them to sit with you in the grown-ups’ section. If you think your younger or older child will want to join in, please purchase a ticket for them.

Meet Kirsty Dorling...

Hello my name is Kirsty, welcome to Pyjama Drama Southampton East! Pyjama Drama’s fun classes combine singing, movement, music and lots of imaginative play. As a qualified drama teacher with 16 years’ experience I am passionate about using drama and imaginative play to nurture children’s creativity and imagination. Pyjama Drama is a wonderful way to improve your child’s confidence, social skills and their ability to work with others. Every exciting, fantastical session is full of singing, dancing, games and lots of pretend play. In a typical Pyjama Drama class, we could be discovering treasure with pirates, flying into space for a picnic on the moon or baking the biggest chocolate cake in the world for a giant!
